Our gear

At BOA we have a wide selection of gear for you to use at a reasonable cost. We have items from lamps to 3-season camping tents as well as cooking utensils and chairs. From tiny specialized items to bulky ordinary ones. In case you need something you don’t see in our catalog please send us a request and we may be able to get it for you. The only thing we don’t carry are sleeping bags and hydration packs. The idea is that you can just drive down to Baja with only your personal belongings and get outfitted with our gear.

Forget about the hassle of buying last minute gear items at a department store. Forget about cleaning and properly storing the gear once you get back to the USA. The only thing you wont forget are the marvels of the Baja outdoors waiting for you. Don’t buy a piece of equipment that you will only use once and then store it somewhere, instead rent it from us.
As part of our commitment o make your experience more pleasurable and safe we will provide you with a Mexican cell phone so can contact us at any time during your trip. If you want, we also have GPS and two-way radios. As a courtesy we will also include a medic-pack in your gear just in case you would need it.

How to order

It works really simple. Check our catalog page and select the items you wish to use. When you finish entering the items an invoice will be generated which states the amount you need to pay. Please fill in your name and email as well as your traveling dates and any special requests and send the file to us. Alternatively, there is a gear list below so please send us an email with your gear needs and we will cost it for you. You can pay using your credit card (via Paypal) or in cash when you drive down to pick up your items. You will have to leave a deposit for the items you rent so please keep that in mind. The deposit amount will be generated depending on the items you request and you will have to leave cash at the BOA base camp as deposit which will be returned to you when you depart. We need a minimum of four days notice to make sure all your gear is ready at your arrival.

How do I get the gear

When you reach the BOA base camp we will be waiting for you with your items packed and ready to go. The items are packed in plastic containers for easier management. Keep in mind that you will require space to place the items. We will send you an email with the approximate space you need for your gear. In case you need it we also rent roof racks.

Where do I return the gear

In your way back (which is literally your way back) drop the gear at the BOA base camp and we will take care of cleaning it that way you will go back to the USA as empty as you came but full of great memories and fantastic photos.
